A Timeless Twist: Transitional Elegance in a Houston Kitchen Remodel That Isn’t Playing

I’ve been working on some really fun projects lately, and I cannot wait to start sharing them with you. You’re gonna flip — I just know it! Okay okay, let me not reveal too much. Staying tight-lipped isn’t for the faint of heart, LOL. Anywho — just dropping in with a little update on a Houston kitchen remodel project I've been working on.
When my client first reached out, she said it plain:“I bought a fixer-upper, and after doing so, I realized quickly — I am not Bobbiana the Builder 😩. Girl, I don’t know how to fix it, but I know I want to fall in love with it."

And so we began with a design concept and layout that felt personal — not just a renovation plan, but a love note to what was and what’s to come. A transitional kitchen design with timeless details, practical intention, and a space she could evolve in. The floor plan had potential, but the finishes were dated and lacked rhythm. My job wasn’t just to update what she saw — it was to honor what she felt. That quiet sense of, “I want to love this… but I need help getting there.”
The form always follows the vision and feeling. We leaned into a transitional design that pulls warmth and depth from multiple eras — modern livability, classic charm, rich finishes — all living together, beautifully.
This is just the beginning.
Even with a brutal summer ahead, these sweat-curdling temps don’t stop no show. This is actually the perfect time to start reimagining your kitchen. Fall brings that shift — cooler nights, cozier gatherings, and a reason to finally make your space work harder, feel better, and welcome well.
Head over to IG @corner_of_7th_and_moody to see how this Houston kitchen transforms into something beautiful, lasting, and undeniably her. While you're there, be sure to like, share and let me know what you think — I love hearing how these spaces land with you.
With love,
Andrea
